I got together with my friend Todd Schaefer yesterday and we tried some things related to the DVD portion of the album. It's still early in the process, but I think we're going to do some cool stuff.

I've slowly started to learn the very basics of HTML and I finally made an update to kennyjaworski.com on my own. AREN'T YA PROUD OF ME?!

I'm glad to be able to offer the teaser/trailer directly from kennyjaworski.com and I'm going to make some changes tonight regarding advertising the show and release of the album, both on March 23rd.

There's still a lot to do, including the booklet, the rest of the package design including the back cover, filming, DVD menus, etc.

I did a little bit of internet research on creating DVD menus and I came up with some very promising leads. We'll see if we really can make the menus on our own.

I'm not a big fan of a lot of moving stuff and sound on DVD menus. As cool as they are...I don't know...you usually find out pretty quick when the sound and image cycles stop and start over again, and it becomes really kinda...overwrought or something.

I'm thinking of either having a simple picture for the menu and each submenu, or minimal moving pictures and sounds.

Making the image aspect of the menus shouldn't be too complicated at all. We can use Photoshop for that. The buttons and functionality will have to be made using other software, and apparently it can be done for free through free trials and etc.

Here's what remains to be done:

1. Artwork and packaging design

The cover is done, though some minor touch-ups here and there may be made. But there's still a back cover, tray artwork, text layout, spine label, Inspired Buildings label, booklet. That's a lot!

2. DVD production

This entails shooting, editing, and DVD menus. Jeff David is going to help me with the first two, and Todd is going to help me with the last one. Can't get started on the first two until Christmas break, but the DVD menu thing can start at any time.

3. Mastering

Chelsea and I will get together over break to go over the recording again and see if there's anything that should be altered...not performance-wise, just sound-wise. This should be pretty painless.
